We are currently looking for volunteers to expand the initiative. There are no specifications with regard to time exposure; any person may render support the way it suits him/her. Assistance is required with regard to the following tasks:

Description
Sending of invitations to lawyers to join the XING group „Lawyers for Environmental Protection“, so that more lawyers get to know this network and join it. In accordance with the fast and global growth of the network, we may be able to provide more assistance. Time expenditure amounts to a maximum of 1.5 up to 2 hours per day. One may organize his/her time himself/herself. It is not required to work every day or one may work only half an hour a day. Text modules in respect of invitations and overviews may be provided in order to get started immediately. Where applicable, the office of a lawyer could be active on the lawyer’s behalf during periods without other work. Additionally, the sending of invitations to join a group is automatically limited to the invitation of 200 persons per day. It is not possible to send more invitations.

Description
Generally willing to assist requests by environmental initiatives and environmental organizations for the placement of lawyers to provide legal advice at no charge – via the XING platform - (e.g. holiday replacement, increasing demand for placements, sickness cover). No forecasts can be made in respect of the amount of work at this time because it is not yet possible to estimate the number of requests by environmental initiatives and environmental organizations for placement of a lawyer. Legal knowledge is required insofar as the respective person has to assess which lawyer and what qualification are suited to execute the respective request the best way possible.

The amount of translation work corresponds to the contents of this website and may be easily assessed by the respective translator. Texts to be translated are available as a word-file containing two columns whereas the left column includes the original source text and the translation has to be entered into the right column. The word-file is available on short-notice. There are no specific requirements in respect of the date the translation has to be completed. Where applicable, the translation could be carried out by the lawyers’ offices or employees insofar this is compatible with the actual workload.
